Overview
Welcome to the program; this place was never just a place to sit, but a home of generosity and generosity. In our Saudi society, the majlis is the first incubator in which the little one learns from the old how to speak, how to listen, and how to honor and celebrate his guest.
Hence, the idea of this program is to take our children into the hands of mastering the (Salum al-Rajajil) and the habits of fathers and grandfathers, starting with the good reception and the beauty of ‘diagnosis’, to the etiquette of coffee, determination, and congregational prayers.
Our goal, in addition to education, is to build a personality that is proud of its identity, is proud of its values, and knows that ‘marjala’ is literature, value, and art in dealing that combines the noble guidance of the Prophet and the ancient Saudi traditions.
Objectives
By the end of this course, the trainee will be able to:
- Mastering the skills of acquaintance, ‘salloom’ of men, and correct responses at social events.
- Distinguish the duties of the guest and the host, and the protocol for receiving and standing up for guests.
- Applying the etiquette of serving coffee and dates according to authentic Saudi customs.
- Performing congregational prayers while being aware of their impact on the development of one’s religious and social personality.
- Take care of one’s personal attire, and learn the basics of incense and oud as a symbol of hospitality.
- Developing confident communication skills and choosing weighted words in various forums.
- Practice the etiquette of hospitality and determination in accordance with religious values and ancient traditions.
- Adherence to the Prophet’s guidance in food etiquette, especially when eating with the right hand.

Week One: Majlis Etiquette (Part 1)
Welcome & Enter
- Understanding the Seat of Honor: Where is “Sadr Al-Majlis” located, and who is prioritized to sit there?
- The Art of Seating: What is the proper posture and etiquette for sitting in the Majlis?
Week Two: Majlis Etiquette (Part 2)
Hospitality: Dates & Coffee (Qudou’ & Gahwa)
- Coffee Varieties: Types of Saudi coffee and the traditional art of preparation.
- Cultural Proverbs: Folk sayings associated with coffee and dates.
- The “Qudou’”: The significance of serving dates as a cornerstone of honoring guests.
- Service Protocol: The correct technique for holding the “Dallah” and the meaning behind the “shaking of the cup” (Hezz Al-Finjal).
Etiquette of Congregational Prayer
- The Congregational Prayer: Principles and importance of praying in a group.
- Mosque Conduct: Ethics of interacting with fellow worshippers.
- Mindful Presence: Avoiding behaviors that disrupt the tranquility and focus of others.
The third week: The Grooming (Al-Tashkhisah)
The Art of Grooming (Al-Tashkhisah)
- The Standard of Dress: Principles of impeccable grooming and cleanliness.
- The Shemagh & Agal: Mastering the traditional way of wearing the headdress.
Incense & Oud (Bakhoor)
- Historical Heritage: The legacy of the “Censer of Fragrance” (Madkhanat Al-Teeb) since the First Saudi State.
- Types of Fragrance: Understanding varieties of incense and traditional censers (Mabkhara).
- The Passing Ritual: The protocol for circulating the censer within the Majlis.
