Day One: Introduction to Courtesy and Etiquette

  • What is etiquette?
  • The importance of knowing etiquette and courtesy.
  • Differences in etiquette.
  • Etiquette for dealing with oneself.
  • Etiquette for walking and proper movement.
  • Proper standing and sitting etiquette.
  • Body etiquette: (elevator + regular stairs + escalator).
  • Etiquette for introductions and handshakes.
  • Etiquette for conversation and introducing others.
  • Listening etiquette.
  • Questioning etiquette.
  • Etiquette for responding to confidential matters.

Day Two: Communication and Compliments

  • Etiquette Etiquette for speaking in foreign languages.
  • Etiquette for praise, compliments, and gratitude.
  • Public transportation etiquette and mobility.
  • Public place etiquette.
  • Housing etiquette and event attendance.
  • Social events. Gift etiquette, flower giving, and their meanings.
  • Dining etiquette.
